Fish and water
A living fish swims against the current;
It battles the waves, and only then does it draw breath.
The fish has found its place in proverbs and idioms;
It appears in poems, stories, and ancient texts.
In some places, it serves as decoration; in others, as food;
Now, it has become the object of large-scale commerce.
It is the nice, rhyming verse in a child’s poem;
Yet, today, it remains confined within the limited waters of an aquarium.
With all the water turned toxic, how can the fish survive?
Suffocating in this environment, it ends up serving the needs of others.
